Just after graduating from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, I found a nice job working as a graphic designer/resident illustrator at a food photography studio.
One day, my boss (Gabriel Samelson) asked me to make a little painting in watercolors for a cook book he was working on, written by the Israeli food columnist Nira Rousso. Mrs. Rousso loved it and the next morning she called me and said: "Hi, It's Nira Rousso. Are you ready to get busy"? The next day I was already drawing some lemons for her food column, titled: "Secrets from my kitchen," published in Ha'aretz magazine for more than 20 years.
These food drawings were published as a part of a few food columns written by Nira Rousso in a number of leading newspapers in Israel over a period of 14 years – between 1992-2006.
